Camp LELA | Heritage Ukraine

At the beginning of November a team from Alabama came to Ukraine to help us build some gazebos for Camp LELA. These will provide shade for the kids during the hottest days of the summer. Camp LELA has officially ended and camp supplies have been cleaned, packed up and stored away til next year. We are thankful for all of you that prayed with us, supported us, and served with us.   This past weekend we had a celebration with our team! Camp LELA was officially over and we wanted to gather everyone to remember the good things that God did through us and for us over the long summer. We had tasty food, a beautiful cake, sang camp songs, played a few games, took lots of pictures, praised God in worship, looked at lots of pictures, and prayed for Camp LELA 2016.

Tearing down the camp and putting everything away for the winter is always a big project. Pictured here are the guys carrying away the structure for the ladies toilet! ;) Praise God for all the volunteers that help us day after day.

Many people gathered hygiene supplies for the kids. We were able to bless the kids with these throughout the summer. It truly is a gift for them. Usually, they don't have their own shampoo, soap, or tooth paste. So to receive a bag full of things just for them is exciting. Thank you for partnering with us in ministry.

We wanted to take a moment to thank you for your support, encouragement, and prayers for Camp LELA 2015. We had an amazing summer serving and ministering to over 800 children. Over 250 volunteers from all over Ukraine came to Odessa to serve with us. We also had over 15 short term missionaries from many different countries that had the desire to come and serve the kids and to encourage us in our work.
