Camp Lela 2014 is officially over! Everything is back in the storage units and we want to take a moment to thank God for all He did this summer.
We are thankful for:
All of you that financially support Camp LELA 2014
All of you that faithfully prayed for us for many months
Hundreds of volunteers that gave weeks of their time to serve alongside us
Our family members that served with us
Our ministry partners that served the entire summer, too
The leadership team that put together an amazing program week after week of crafts, sports, games, music, Bible lessons, and theatrical productions
The big water truck that groaned and moaned, but hauled water all summer
Generators that provided electricity
The builders that worked so hard to build sturdy structures that lasted throughout the summer
The amazing cooks that made such tasty food
Great medical support at all the camps
The team that tore down and organized the storage unit
A ministry vehicle that hauled people and supplies all summer long
Great weather (only a few days of rain)
A great camp site location
Answers to many prayers
The opportunity to serve Him and His children
Strength, wisdom, and ability to complete this work
The desire to continue in ministry despite the trials and difficulties
The entire Camp LELA team of leaders and volunteers want to also thank God for a guy that served the Lord without stop the entire summer. Early morning til late at night and sometimes even all through the night. It's not easy to be the director and to carry the responsibility of so many people. Praise God for Slavik and his heart for the children. Praise God for the abilities that He has gifted him with.
He is already planning Camp LELA 2015 and is probably the only person that really missed camp the day after it finished!
(other than the kids, of course!)
